Shanghai MUCE Wind Power Equipment Co., Ltd. (short for MUCE) is a high technology company with several patents. MUCE is advanced in the fields of new power and telecommunication in China. The key engineers in MUCE are mainly from some Famous universities. MUCE is engaged in technology development and administration and sales system management.In order to supply the sufficient and reliable power to the border posts for the use of daily life and telecommunication system, under the requirements of the telecommunication department of the People's Liberation Army, MUCE has been engaged in the research and manufacture of Vertical Axis Wind-power Turbines (VAWT) and the systems of VAWT/WSPS ( Wind-Power Power Systems). In doing so, MUCE has received the support from Xi'an Jiaotong University and Shanghai Tongji University. By the end of 2002, MUCE has successfully made the first set of VAWT. At the beginning of 2003, some army units adopted such VAWT systems and all these systems are working smoothly and effectively. Because of the army granted the Third Technical Progressive Award to MUCE, our products have been listed as the transformation items from the study stage to the actual production stage announced by Shanghai Municipal Authority. The patents' numbers are No: ZL200420081310.2 for VAWT and No: 200720066185.1 for lantern shape VAWT.MUCE has the right of import and export and VAWT has got the CE Certificate. MUCE has exported VAWTs to Europe, America, Australia and Asia. Now MUCE is working hard on researching the more powerful VAWT of 100kw and above.MUCE is mainly manufacturing the VAWT of FDM type with the range from 1.6kw to 12kw under the patent No.:ZL200420081310.2. This shows that MUCE has made a solid progress in making VAWT. It also shows that the VAWT made by China is one of the advanced systems in the world.
