In 2007, we supplied 2080 piec1ff8es of 750kV composite insulators to State Grid Co. of China for its exampling project. <br> Our company was also the first company whose composite insulators were used for electrified railways in China as earlier as 1998. There are now over 160,000 pieces of insulators operating on electrified railways across China.<br> Our company has always attached great importance to the research and development of composite insulators. Besides the normal type tests on the 10kV to 1000kV a.c and 500kV and 800kV d.c. insulators, we have also done lots of other research tests, including 5000 hours ageing test at KEMA lab, pollutant accumulation tests, electric field distribution tests, ice-covering tests, accelerated weathering tests, salt fog pollution withstand tests, long-term mechanical performance tests, hydrophobicity recovery tests, bonding between core rod and rubber tests, and high-pressure washing test etc. <br> Particularly worth mentioning is that in 2005 we conducted pollution withstand test under full voltage (826kV d.c) on our 800kV d.c composite insulators of full length (about 8750mm) at STRI lab in Sweden, which was the first and the only test even in the world as of today. Through this test we got the fundamental dimensions for 800kV insulators such as creepage distance, arc distance and weather shed profile etc. This test also provided some important data and information for the design of the first 800kV d.c. transmission line in China, of which the construction is under way.<br> The inspection centre of our company has been furnished with complete inspecting and testing facilities such as 3,600kV steep wave impulse voltage generator, 1,500kV power frequency testing facility, 15mx2200kN tension load machine, 25kNx5m bending and torsional testing machine and a well-equipped physical and chemical test laboratory etc. We have strict quality-monitoring and inspection procedures for manufacturing process and for final products, and our company has been strictly implementing and maintaining a quality management system of ISO 9001 since 1998.<br> Our products have now been exported to over 20 countries covering Europe, America, Africa, Asia and Australia. In 2007 we supplied nearly 14,000 pieces of 400kV composite insulators to Power Grid Co. of India Ltd, which was the first time that composite insulators were used on extra-high voltage transmission line in India.
