Flownamics developed the FISP sampling probe
in 1996. The FISP sampling probe is capable of withdrawing sterile, cell-free
samples from fermenters and bioreactors. FISP allows direct on-line sample
transfer to a variety of sampling systems (Seg-Flow), analyzers (such as
biochemistry and HPLC systems) and fraction collectors for off-line analysis.
FISP is constructed of 316 stainless steel and fitted with a tubular,
micro-porous membrane. The probes come in a variety of sizes (6, 12, 19 and 25
mm ports) to accommodate laboratory, pilot or industrial scale vessels. FISP has been and continues to be widely utilized in the biotechnology and
bioprocess industries for fermentation and cell-culture since its introduction
to the market.
FISP probes can be
used for submerged feeding/sterile media addition
