Sheet Bending Machine Maintenance and Care Guide
Regular maintenance of sheet bending machines is critical for extending equipment service life ensuring processing quality and maintaining operational safety. This guide provides a structured maintenance schedule.
Daily Maintenance After Each Shift
Clean metal chips and debris from the worktable surface and die areas to prevent buildup. Wipe down the machine body including control panels and displays. Check for any loose bolts screws or fasteners on visible machine components. Inspect hydraulic hoses and connections for signs of leakage. Verify that all safety guards and covers are in proper position.
Weekly Maintenance Tasks
Add specialized lubricating oil to all guide rails after cleaning off old lubricant and debris. Check guide rail wear condition and verify parallelism and perpendicularity. Inspect hydraulic oil level and top up if needed. Check all electrical wiring and harnesses for signs of aging or damage. Test emergency stop button functionality and verify all indicator lights are working.
Monthly Comprehensive Checks
Check hydraulic oil quality and replace if contaminated or degraded. Clean or replace hydraulic oil filters as needed. Inspect hydraulic cylinders and pumps for oil leaks and proper operation. Check die sharpness and accuracy replacing worn dies as required. Clean contactors and relays in the electrical system. Verify back gauge positioning accuracy through test measurements.
Quarterly and Preventive Maintenance
Comprehensively tighten all screws bolts and fasteners at all positions with attention to high-vibration areas. Check and calibrate pressure gauges for accurate readings. Verify bending angle accuracy with test pieces and adjust parameters based on results. Clean and test all safety sensors and switches including infrared and photoelectric devices. Train operators on proper use and maintenance procedures to prevent equipment failures.
